REDDIES REPORT
Henderson State opened the 2021-22 season with a 81-74 victory over Missouri Southern in Joplin, Missouri.
Ashley Farrar led all Reddie scorers with 20 points and added eight rebounds. Game number two of the conference battle had HSU fall to Emporia State, 84-66. This time around, Snowden paced Henderson with 15 points while Farrar contributed 13.
Â
The Reddies have gotten great production from its bench through two games, outscoring the opponent's bench by a combined 45-29. The biggest contributing rotation players have been
Karrington Whaley and
Jadah Pickens, who have each registered 15 points this season. Whaley also has accumulated nine blocks in the two contests.
Â
In Henderson's win over MSSU, HSU shot 42.5% from the field and 36.8% from three compared to shooting 34.2% and 33.3% from the field and beyond the arc, respectively, in the loss against Emporia St. Though the Reddies have shot decently well from deep in its openers, overall efficiency when shooting the rock will be key for
Jill Thomas' squad as the season progresses.
