ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State is one game over .500 in conference play and is playing its best basketball. With only two weeks out from the conference tournament, HSU is currently sporting a four-game winning streak, including coming off a 90-86 upset of No. 14 Arkansas Tech.

With three games to go in the regular season, HSU finds themselves as the third seed in the Eastern Division and half a game behind second-place Harding. The Reddies will aim for their fifth win in a row when they welcome cross-street rival Ouachita Baptist (1-3) into the Duke Wells Center Monday, Feb. 22 at 5:30 p.m. for the women's second edition of the Battle of the Ravine.

REDDIES REPORT
Thursday, Feb. 4, Henderson State suffered its worst loss of the season, falling to then-18th ranked Arkansas Tech, 98-62. Since then, the Reddies have rattled off four straight wins, including a victory at Harding in Searcy, Arkansas, where HSU had previously not won since 2016, and the biggest win of Henderson's season over the 14th ranked Golden Suns, 90-86.

Henderson State has leaned on offensive firepower during this winning stretch. In the last four games,
Maci Mains has been on fire, averaging 16.8 points per game, followed by
Sonni Martin (14.0 ppg) and
Ashley Farrar (12.8 ppg).
Karrington Whaley has also returned to form after a slow start to the season, averaging 10.3 ppg and 8.8 rebounds per game during the past four contests.

After shooting 41% from 3-point range in the last four outings, HSU is shooting 37.3% from 3-point land, good for second in the GAC. HSU has hit double-digit triples in its last three games. Martin herself is hitting at an extreme clip of 50% (20-40) on the season and, with 10 more attempts needed to qualify, is on pace to break the all-time 3-point percentage record of 47.4%.

Lani Snowden has an opportunity to climb up the all-time made 3-pointers list against Ouachita Baptist on Monday. The Van Buren, Arkansas native needs two treys to pass
Aungelique Sledge for fourth all-time. Snowden currently sits at 152. The last time Henderson and OBU met, the senior guard connected on 3-of-8 from deep.

The Reddies have been nothing short of dominant in this rivalry over the past decade, with HSU having won eight straight against the Tigers and 15 of the last 20 meetings since 2012. Henderson won the last meeting 71-61 on the back of Martin's 7-9 shooting from beyond-the-arc and team-high 25 points at Ouachita's place.

SCOUTING OUACHITA BAPTIST
Similarly to the Reddies, Ouachita Baptist comes into this matchup off its best win of the season. The Tigers surpassed the century mark for the first time under second-year head coach Robert Dallimore as they defeated Southern Arkansas 102-86.

Eden Crow, Makayla Miller, and Maija Gertsone combined for 73 points, with Crow pacing OBU for a game-high 28 points. In OBU's four games, Miller is second in the GAC with 19.8 points per game. Crow and Lauren Wright are both in the top-5 in rebounding among the GAC.

With the Tigers' win over Southern Arkansas, OBU jumps SAU for fifth place in the Eastern Division and sits just behind fourth-place Arkansas Monticello. Both programs sport a 1-3 record with UAM coming to Bill Vining Arena on Thursday, Feb. 25.
