ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – After dropping its first contest since Feb. 4 this past Monday, Henderson State (5-6, 5-5) will aim to get back on track as it welcomes the Harding Lady Bisons into the Duke Wells Center Thursday, Feb. 25 for the final home game of the season. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
With a four-game winning streak held by Henderson State heading into Monday's rivalry game, the streak was snapped as the Reddies suffered their sixth loss on the season – its first since early February – when Ouachita Baptist came into the Duke Wells Center and left with a 69-66 victory, ending HSU's eight-game winning streak against the Tigers.

After shooting an even 41% from beyond-the-arc in its four wins, HSU was only able to connect on 26.7% of its deep balls Monday evening. With only hitting four of their 15 triples, that also tied the fewest treys the Reddies have hit in a game since Feb. 6.

Rebounding has been a strong spot for the Reddies as of late with three girls averaging at least six boards per contest. Gracie Raby has pulled down double-digit rebounds in two of her last three games, including her first career double-double against OBU in the last outing. Henderson State as a team is sixth in the GAC in rebounding at 40.2 rebounds per game.

The Reddies saw one of their best wins of the season last time they faced Harding, beating HU on their home court for the first time since 2016 and snapping an 11-game home winning streak held by the Lady Bisons. Henderson is 2-1 at home since losing in overtime to Harding inside Duke Wells back on Jan. 30.

With two games remaining in the regular season, Henderson State sits at third in the Eastern Division, half a game behind Harding. HSU controls its own destiny for the second seed and a first-round bye in the conference tournament that comes with that, however, as a win on Thursday and then a win in the season finale against Arkansas-Monticello on Saturday or a Harding loss in its season finale would secure that second spot for the Reddies.

SCOUTING HARDING
Since winning five in a row, Harding has lost three of its last four games, including the loss to Henderson State on its own home floor on Jan. 14. Two of those three losses came against nationally ranked Arkansas Tech.

80 has been the magic number for the Lady Bisons. In games this season, when Harding has scored less than 80, it is 2-4. When scoring more than 80 points, 4-1. In the three meetings with HSU, Harding has scored over 90 twice and under 80 once, staying true to the rubric for a 2-1 season-series lead.

Sage Hawley is sixth in the GAC in scoring at 15.3 points per game. The star freshman is also fourth in the league in rebounding with 9.0 rpg. Fellow-Lady Bisons Carissa Caples is 14th with 13.3 ppg. Caples also leads Harding in assists with 2.7 assists per game.
