ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State (6-6, 6-5 GAC) has won five of its last six games and has played itself into the second seed in the Eastern Division of the Great American Conference. In order to maintain that two seed and a first-round bye in the GAC tournament next week, Henderson State will need to handle business against Arkansas-Monticello Saturday, Feb. 7 at 2 p.m. in the final game of the regular season.

REDDIES REPORT
Maci Mains saved her best for last as the final game inside the Duke Wells Center this season was a classic. Mains put up a career-high 38 points, making her one of four players in all of Division II to have multiple games of 35+ points this season, as the junior guard led Henderson State to an 82-80 victory over Harding. Mains was supported by freshman
Jadah Pickens who contributed 17 points while grabbing seven boards.

With the Reddies half a game behind Harding in the standings for the two seed heading into Thursday's matchup, HSU is now half a game up on Harding. A win at Arkansas-Monticello
or a Harding loss at Southern Arkansas would give Henderson the two seed in the eastern division.

Senior
Lani Snowden remains two 3-pointers shy of moving into 4th all-time on the made 3-pointers list in HSU history, surpassing
Aungelique Sledge. With 152 in her career, Snowden has at least two more games with the conference tournament to reach that mark this season.

This meeting with the Blossoms of Arkansas-Monticello will mark the one and only meeting between the two programs as the three previous contests were canceled. Since early 2012, the all-time series in conference play is 9-9, but the last two meetings have gone UAM's way.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS-MONTICELLO
Having only played twice since Jan. 21, Arkansas-Monticello and first-year head coach Markell Cox are currently 1-5 on the season and are coming off a 77-51 loss against Ouachita Baptist. In UAM's one win this year, leading scorer Mackenzie Tillman scored a team-high 22 points as the Blossoms beat Harding on Jan. 9 inside the Steelman Field House, 76-71.

The last two games, the Blossoms have been without their leading scorer in Tillman, and it showed as Monticello only mustered 51 points in each of the contests. Against Southern Arkansas, UAM had 36 turnovers compared to 27 against OBU in its last outing.

This matchup against HSU will only be the fourth game the Blossoms have played inside Steelman Field House all season. Arkansas-Monticello is 1-2 when playing on its own home court compared to 0-3 on the road. All three home games occurred in succession to open the season, having not played there since Jan. 9.
