ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – For the second time this season, Henderson State visits Tucker Coliseum to take on the Arkansas Tech Golden Suns Thursday, Feb. 4 at 5:30 p.m. In the previous meeting earlier this year, HSU dropped a close one to the Golden Suns, 89-80.

REDDIES REPORT
The Reddies come in off their lowest point total of the season against Southern Arkansas in their last contest, losing to the Muleriders 69-53. Redshirt-freshman
Sonni Martin led all Henderson scorers with 15 points while
Tamia Templeton battled on the boards all night, pulling down a team-high 13 rebounds to go with 12 points.

Henderson State hopes to get all-time blocks leader
Karrington Whaley back for Thursday's battle after the star forward has missed the last two games. The senior is leading the team with 9.7 rebounds per game in only three games played. Templeton has served admirably as Whaley's replacement in the starting lineup as she has posted a double-double in back-to-back games for the first time in her young career. The sophomore from Morrilton, Arkansas is averaging 10.4 points per game and seven rebounds per game.

Turnovers have killed the Reddies in their last two games, giving up the rock 23 times against Harding and 27 times against Southern Arkansas. When HSU was taking care of the ball against the Muleriders, cold-shooting plagued the Reddies as they connected on just 33.8% of their shots from the field and 17.9% from beyond-the-arc.

Senior
Lani Snowden moved into fifth place on the all-time made 3-pointers list in HSU history the last time Henderson State played Arkansas Tech. Snowden connected on three treys that day, going 5-of-13 from the field and knocking down both her free throws for a season-high 15 points. Van Buren, Arkansas' own currently sits at 144 made threes for her career and needs 11 more triples to move into 4th all-time.

Freshman
Jadah Pickens had her break-out game against the Golden Suns in the teams' first meeting, leading the Reddies with 21 points, connecting on four of nine shots from deep while also contributing four rebounds and four assists.

SCOUTING ARKANSAS TECH
Arkansas Tech is the only team in the entire Great American Conference to have not lost a game yet this season, sitting atop the Eastern Division at 6-0 (5-0 GAC). ATU's average margin of victory is 18.7 points through six games.

The Golden Suns come in extremely well-balanced on offense with five girls averaging over 10 points per game and four girls over 12.5. Kaley Shipman leads the high-powered Tech offense with 16.7 points per game. Shipman is also shooting 90.5% (19-21) from the free-throw line.

Arkansas Tech had four girls shoot at least 45% (min. eight (8) attempts) from the field in the first meeting against HSU with Shipman having a game-high 23 points, followed by Nikki Metcalfe's 17. ATU was also able to pick up 20 points at the charity stripe.
