ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State heads to Cleveland, Mississippi for a Tuesday doubleheader with the Delta St. Lady Statesmen. The Reddies hosted DSU to kick off the 2021 season, in which HSU split the season-opening doubleheader. First pitch in University Field is at 2 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson State has fallen in its last four games after winning back-to-back contests, although the Reddies have been hitting the ball better. In the last six games, HSU has registered a total 45 hits (7.5 hits per game) compared to 56 in the first 10 (5.6 hpg).
Kaitlyn O'Quinn leads all HSU batters with 22 hits for a .415 average.

Pitching has hurt the Reddies this season as they only have two of their five pitchers averaging a sub-5.00 ERA.
Mallory Brewer has been the most efficient when operating in the circle for Henderson, tallying 31 strikeouts in 47.2 innings pitched as she carries a 4.55 ERA.
Leann Beasley has seen two wins this season to lead HSU's bullpen as she carries a .500 record (2-2) into Tuesday's doubleheader.

The Reddies split a doubleheader against the Lady Statesmen to open the season at Dee White Field back on Jan. 29, winning the first of the two games, 3-2.

Since losing to Henderson St. in its season-opener, Delta St. is 12-7 and has won six of its last eight ballgames. The Lady Statesmen will come into Tuesday's rematch off a 6-4 win over Lee University (Tenn.).

Summer Cryder is hitting .386 on the season as she leads DSU with 22 hits and 18 runs, along with a team-high 17 RBIs. On the other side of the ball, Lacey Coats is Delta's ace, boasting a 9-2 record from inside the circle. Coats has a 3.57 ERA through 70.2 innings pitched, giving up on average less than one hit per inning.

In the win over HSU, Cryder had two RBIs with one hit and one run while Coats pitched all seven innings, registering five strikeouts and only six hits. In the loss, Cryder went 0-for-4 at the plate while earning one walk with Coats not making an appearance.
