ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Coming off a three-game sweep of the Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers, Henderson State will try to use that momentum when Christian Brothers University comes to Dee White Field for a Tuesday doubleheader. Game one begins at 2 p.m. with game two to follow.

Henderson State had its best weekend of the 2021 season, putting up 13 hits in the final game of the series against the Rangers in the 11-5 win. Freshman pitcher
Krystal Lindsey claimed her first win in the circle as a Reddie, throwing five strikeouts in only four innings pitched while only giving up two hits.

Mallory Brewer registered nine strikeouts in game one of the NWOSU series, pitching all seven innings of the 4-2 win. The junior from El Dorado, Arkansas struck out 12 of Northwestern's batters in only 10 innings pitched for the weekend. Brewer is responsible for 52% of HSU's strikeouts this season, seeing 46 through 65.2 innings pitched.

Kaitlyn O'Quinn is sitting among the top-12 in the Great American Conference in three major categories. The freshman sits in first the entire Great American Conference with 30 hits and she is seventh in the GAC in batting average as she is hitting .417 on the season. The product of Coppell High School is 11th in the conference in on-base percentage (.455).

This is the first time these two teams have played each other in a regular season contest since 2016. The Reddies lead the series 4-2 since 2015, but have lost two in row, with the last matchup coming in early 2020 where CBU won, 6-3. Henderson's last victory against CBU came in 2018 when HSU shut out the Lady Bucs, 10-0.

SCOUTING CHRISTIAN BROTHERS
The Lady Bucs of Christian Brothers University are only 2-15 in the 2021 season and are coming off dropping three games to the No. 21 team in the country West Florida Argonauts. Looking at similar opponents between HSU and CBU, Ouachita Baptist split a doubleheader with the Reddies earlier the year while sweeping Christian Brothers in their doubleheader.

Josie Bond is batting .354 to lead all Lady Bucs batters, accounting for 17 hits and nine RBIs. Memory Willingham leads the team in RBIs with 14 while Brady Bree follows with 10. Mackenzie Puckett leads the CBU bullpen with a 6.36 ERA, while only throwing 13 strikeouts on the season compared to 11 walks.
