ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State took on the Ouachita Baptist Tigers in tennis' first edition of the Battle of the Ravine and left with the 4-3 victory. Georjemah Row improved her singles record to 5-3 at No. 2 while the duo of Row and Katie Watts is now 2-0 at No. 2 doubles.
 
Each doubles match was completed in nine games, with HSU taking two of those matches as partners Mulan Kamoe/Franny Nyarko and Row/Watts won their respective matches, 6-3, as HSU found the early 1-0 lead.
 
The Reddies got their three singles wins needed to clinch the match from their top-3 ladies as Nos. 1-3 saw straight set victories, capitalized by Nyarko's overall match-clinching win at the No. 3 spot – her first singles victory of the season at that position – defeating OBU's Shelly Davilus 7-6 (7-3), 6-2.
 
Henderson State (3-5, 1-2) will welcome the Harding Lady Bisons to the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center on Saturday, April 3 at 11 a.m. before the Reddies head over to Ouachita Baptist's side of the street for a rematch on Friday, April 9.
