ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State treated the home crowd at Bettye Wallace Tennis Center to a 7-0 sweep of Great American Conference-foe Oklahoma Baptist in the final match of the season.

The Reddies claimed 12 of the 13 games at the No. 2 & 3 line in doubles to take the first point, including
Erica Jaggernauth and
Tirzah Bailey who blanketed their opponent at No. 3, 6-0. Henderson went on to sweep doubles play as the closest match was 6-3 at No. 1.

In singles, HSU got the quickest work from its ladies at spots 4-6 as Jaggernauth,
Tori Johnson and
Katie Watts each only allowed three games total in their respective straight set victories to clinch the match for the home team.

Henderson finished it out with sweeping singles as HSU won each singles draw in straight sets, including
Franny Nyarko who closed out her Reddie career with a 6-4, 6-2 victory over OKBU's Gabrielly Lamas. Â

With the win, Henderson State (5-7, 3-4) clinches the fifth seed in the upcoming GAC Tournament. Off their first sweep of the season, the Reddies will face the 4-seed Southern Arkansas Muleriders in round one on Friday, April 23 in Bentonville, Arkansas.
