ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – After dropping three games to the 25th ranked Southern Arkansas Muleriders, Henderson State will look for a return to the win column when it takes on Ouachita Baptist at Sully Anderson Field Tuesday, April 6. Game time is set for 5 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson State had won seven of its last eight games heading into the weekend with Southern Arkansas, but has now lost four of its last five.
Kaitlyn O'Quinn saw a hit in each game of the SAU series as she now has 38 hits on the season, second-most in the Great American Conference. O'Quinn is also top-10 in batting average (.384) and tied for first in stolen bases (18).
Â
Both
Abbie Moore and
Czoey White are leading the way with extra-base hits as both girls have seven doubles on the season, while Moore leads the way three home runs, followed by White who is tied for second on the team with two dingers (
Taylor Sledd,
Addie Jordan).
Â
With fourteen games remaining on the season, the Reddies are currently in tenth place in the GAC standings at 10-20 (7-13 GAC). The top eight teams make the end-of-year GAC tournament as the race for eighth includes East Central (12-13, 8-11) at ninth and Southwestern Oklahoma St. (8-14, 8-9) at eighth.
Â
Henderson and Ouachita Baptist played a doubleheader earlier in the year as the two teams split the contests at Dee White Field. The Reddies have won seven of the last 10 matchups, but are only 7-9 when playing on OBU's field since 2012. Henderson's last win at Ouachita came in 2019 when HSU defeated the Tigers, 9-6.

SCOUTING OUACHITA BAPTIST
Since playing the Reddies, Ouachita Baptist is an even 6-6, though they are coming into this meeting after dropping three games to Arkansas Tech in Russellville over the weekend. The Tigers have definitely fared better when playing at home as they are 5-3 at Sully Anderson Field, with two of those losses coming against then-ranked No. 1 Southern Arkansas.
Â
Jillian Jones and Heather Brown are both hitting .342 to lead the team while Hope Waid has a team-high 27 hits. Jones is also leading the Tigers with five homers, which is also good enough for a tie for fifth in the GAC. In the Battle of the Ravine doubleheader earlier this season, Jones saw five hits through the two games while Brown had herself three hits.
