2020-21 ABCA TEAM ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE AWARDS

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — The Henderson State baseball program added another crowning achievement to an already memorable season on Thursday when the Reddies received a 2020-21 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award.

To meet the criteria for the ABCA's highest academic team recognition, a program must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 for the current academic year.

The Reddies, who won the school's first conference title since 1982 this spring and recorded a team-wide 3.20 GPA, were one of just 76 NCAA Division II programs to earn a 2020-21 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award and one of just five from the Great American Conference.

The academic honor is the third-straight for Henderson, who also received the award each of the last two seasons.
