ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The doubles team of 
Mulan Kamoe and 
Georjemah Row moved to 2-0 on the season in doubles while Kamoe is now 2-0 at No. 1 singles, but Henderson State fell to the No. 15 Angelo St. Rambelles Saturday afternoon, 6-1.
 
For the Reddies, doubles was highlighted by Kamoe/Row defeating Ena Ovcina and Valentina Gonzalez in a tiebreaker, 7-6 (7-5). Last season, the Ovcina/Gonzalez tandem went 11-4 at No. 1 singles for the Rambelles and finished the year as the 13th ranked doubles team in the nation among Division II.
 
Kamoe was not through with Gonzalez, as she defeated the 2018-19 Lone Star Conference's Player of the Year in straight sets, 6-1, 6-4. Gonzalez finished 2020-21 as the No. 23 singles player in the nation (Division II).  
 
Henderson St. (1-1) finishes off its three-match opening weekend with Mississippi College Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center. The Reddies will look for only their second all-time victory over the Choctaws.
