REDDIES REPORT
Freshman
Justine Burch saw her best two-game stretch of the season Wednesday against OBU, going a combined 5-for-6 with one RBI and one run. The five hits she registered now has her leading the clubhouse with 20 hits and hitting .345 for second best on the team. Burch is currently sporting a five-game hitting streak.
Â
Taking over the top spot on the squad is freshman
Madison Treutlein, who is hitting a team-best .371 in 15 games played. Treutlein posted a 3-for-5 two-game total with three RBIs, all of which came in the second game. The Reedy High School product came into the pair of contests with only one RBI on the season.
Â
Abbie Moore logged her team-leading fifth home run of the season Wednesday against the Tigers, sending a two-run shot over the left field wall in the second inning of the second game. Moore is holding a batting average of .316 - one of four Reddies hitting over .300 – as she leads HSU in RBIs (13), second in total bases (34) and third in hits (18).
Â
This will be the first time since 2017 Henderson St. has faced Harding in Searcy. Despite the home-field advantage HSU has experienced over the last three seasons versus the Lady Bisons, HU has won eight of the last 10 meetings. The Reddies' last victory over Harding came April 20, 2019.

SCOUTING HARDING
Harding brings a 4-4 conference record and 15-8 overall record into this weekend's series, despite having dropped three games in a row. After falling to Ouachita Baptist in the series finale, the Lady Bisons lost to Arkansas Tech Wednesday in a doubleheader to complete the three-game skid.
Â
With the season already more than a month in, Harding will play its first home game of the 2022 year, having played 10 road games and 13 neutral site games up until this point. Last year's Lady Bisons team went 14-7 in Searcy, closing the 2021 season on an eight-game home winning streak.
Â
Harding boasts one of the best hitters in the conference in junior infielder Nicole Shano, who is batting .429 to lead HU in just about every hitting category, including pacing the Lady Bisons batters with 10 home runs. Emma Curry (.397), Leigha Harris (.394) and Chelsea Blankenship (.372) round out the gauntlet that is the top of Harding's lineup.
