ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State will take one final trip out of conference before finishing the year with back-to-back road GAC series' when it heads to Commerce, Texas, to take on No. 19 Texas A&M-Commerce in a doubleheader Wednesday, April 20 at 4 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
This past weekend, the Reddies got a GAC Player of the Week-worthy performance from senior first-baseman
Monica Monreal. After only seeing three home runs on the season up to that point, Monreal matched that with three blasts over the weekend, two of which came in the final game of the series, to now sit in second on the team with six.

Henderson has several different players leading them in different hitting categories, with freshman
Madison Treutlein leading the team with a .354 batting average, while fellow freshman
Justine Burch paces the squad with 40 hits.
Abbie Moore is currently sporting a team-leading 22 RBIs with Monreal, after her seven-RBI weekend, sitting in second with 20.

Sophomore pitcher
Savannah Carrigan has emerged over the last month as the primary starting pitcher for the Reddies pitching staff, having seen 17 starts on the season, including all three games this past weekend. Carrigan has seen her ERA drop nearly two whole points over the past month as it is now 5.44.

Wednesday's doubleheader will be the first all-time meeting between Henderson St. and Texas A&M-Commerce. The Lions will be the second Top-20 team the Reddies have faced this season, with the other team also coming out of the Lone Star Conference in then-No. 20 Texas A&M-Kingsville.

SCOUTING No. 19 TEXAS A&M-COMMERCE
At 33-11 overall, Commerce is 15-5 in non-conference games, including splitting with then-No. 2 Augustana at the start of the year and defeating No. 25 Central Missouri before falling in back-to-back games to then-No. 5 North Georgia. The Lions are also 10-4 John Cain Family Softball Complex.

TAMUC boasts nine players hitting north of .300, being led by senior infielder Sabrina Anguiano with a .402 batting average, with junior Madison Schaefer and freshman Leo Terry carrying a team-high 44 hits. Sophomore Ayanna Williams leads the squad with 42 RBIs, which is tied for 46th in the nation.

Lions starting pitcher Emily Otto has thrown 124 innings, having started 21 games without making a single appearance in relief, as she is carrying a 2.31 ERA. The next most-used Commerce pitcher is Alyssa LeBlanc, who holds a 3.09 ERA through 99.2 innings of work.
