DAY ONE TEAM LEADERBOARD | DAY ONE PLAYER LEADERBOARDÂ
MUSKOGEE, Oklahoma – In their first tournament of the 2022 fall season, the Henderson State men's golf program finished day one of the NSU Golf Classic shooting a 5-over 289 and a 16-under 268 through 36 holes as it currently sits in first place at 11-under 557, leading second-place Washburn by five strokes. The men's golf team set a program record with their impressive showing in round two.
Junior Miller Harris leads the team in the first two rounds, finishing 6-under 65 and an even-par 71 for a 36-hole score of 6-under 136, finishing the day tied for third.
Nathan Cossement and Josh McNulty finished their days tied for fifth and tied for 11th, respectively. Cossement ended the day shooting a 1-over 72, followed by a  5-under 66, tallying six birdies. McNulty carded 5-over 76 and a 6-under 65, recording eight birdies.
Alex Hadden started round one, shooting 5-over 76, but finished strong in the second round, 5-under 66. The sophomore accumulated five birdies and one eagle to cap off an impressive team performance.
Newcomer Kanapos Visuttipina rounded out the Reddies with an 8-over 150 for a tie at 62nd in the 98-player field.
Henderson will look to defend the top spot on day two of the NSU Golf Classic when it tees of at 12:03 p.m. CT from the Par 71, 6726 yard Muskogee Golf Club.
