Box Score FORT SMITH, Ark. - For the first time since the 2014-15 season, the Henderson State women's tennis team defeated Arkansas-Fort Smith, 6-1. The victory improves HSU to 2-1 on the season.
The Reddies made quick work of doubles action, losing just three games through the two matches.

Jenna Kate Bohnert defeated UAFS' Isabella Serrano and Petra Csizmadia before
Mulan Kamoe and
Haarini Balakrishnan defeated Lions Joanna Potet and Arianna de Bernardo, 6-2 to clinch the doubles point.

Tirzah Bailey won at the three line by default.
After Arkansas-Fort Smith claimed the first singles point to tie the match, 1-1, Henderson took the next five singles matches to claim the 6-1 in-state victory.
Kristina Kozlova and
Haarini Balakrishnan each won at the No. 2 and 4 spot, respectively, in straight sets, 6-1, 7-6 (7-3).
After the Reddies got the win at No. 6 via default, No. 44
Mulan Kamoe clinched the overall match by defeating the Lions' top player despite falling in the first set, 3-6, 6-2, 6-1. Kamoe is 2-1 at the top line this season with all of her matches having gone the distance. Bohnert added a point to HSU's total for good measure, winning her first singles match at the No. 3 line this season, 6-4, 0-6, 11-9.
