Abbie Moore earns her first GAC Player of the Week award after helping Henderson State to a series win over Northwestern Oklahoma State on the opening day of GAC play.

The third baseman was 6-11 at the plate this weekend, with three hits in the first game and three in the third. Moore's batting average across the series was .545, with six RBIs, four runs and two homers.
In the first game, Moore had a single, double and two-run homer in the team's 10-5 win over NWOSU and recorded a second two-run blast in the rubber match, and logged two RBIs in HSU's 8-0 win.Â

Moore's two home runs over the weekend bring her level with Reddie legend Jeaniel Pati in career homers (24), and she is now fifth all-time in RBIs (99) after scoring six against NWOSU. The third baseman is hitting .348 this season with four homers, 14 RBIs and 16 hits.

Henderson State (8-7) travels to Denton, Texas to face Texas Women's in a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday, Feb. 28, starting at 4 p.m.
