After sweeping all three doubles matches, Henderson got four straight-set singles victories from spots 3-6 while
Mulan Kamoe and
Kristina Kozlova each toughed out three-set wins. Kamoe overcame being down a set while Kozlova fought through two tiebreakers to win the third defining set, 10-7.

In doubles, Kamoe was paired with University of Charleston transfer
Haarini Balakrishnan at the No. 1 line, getting their first victory together as partners, 6-1. Kozlova and
Jenna Kate Bohnert claimed a 6-3 win at No. 2 while
Marianna Murcia and
Tirzah Bailey completed the doubles sweep with the 6-2 triumph.

Danna Nunez won all 12 games at the No. 6 line, defeating her opponent, 6-0, 6-0. That dominant performance was followed by Balakrishnan downing her adversary, 6-2, 6-0. Bohnert and Murcia clinched the match for HSU with scores of 6-4, 6-3 and 7-5, 6-3, respectively.

Henderson St. (1-0) will return to the court next Friday when conference-foe Southern Arkansas comes to the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center for a non-conference match Friday, Feb. 10. Â
