ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State won the season's first edition of the Battle of the Ravine at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center, 7-0. After taking two of three doubles matches, the Reddies dropped just one set in singles.

Mulan Kamoe and Kristina Kozlova continued their winning ways since becoming partners, defeating Ouachita's Austynn Crocker and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo at the No. 1 line, 6-0. Marianna Murcia and Tirzah Bailey, in the duos first time at the No. 2 spot, claimed yet another win to claim the doubles point, 6-4.

From there, it was all Reddies in singles play. 12 of the 13 sets went Henderson's way as all but one won their respective match in straight sets. Danna Nunez won in her first appearance at the No. 5 spot, defeating OUA's Clarisa Valenzuela 6-3, 6-3, while Tirzah Bailey claimed her first singles victory of the season over Taylor Hansard, 7-5, 6-4.

Henderson St. (5-3) will play three more matches at home over the next week, beginning with Northeastern State Sunday, Mar. 12 at 10 a.m.
