ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State takes a break from GAC action to play Arkansas Baptist in a midweek doubleheader on Tuesday, Mar. 7, beginning at 3 p.m. at Dee White Field.
REDDIES REPORT
HSU (9-11, 3-3) went 1-2 in the GAC series against Arkansas Tech. The Golden Suns began the contests with a 4-1 victory, but the Reddies would force a rubber match, defeating ATU 3-2 in the following outing. A tightly contested game three would fall Arkansas Tech's way with three late runs to take the series.
The team logged 17 hits across the three contests, led by
Abbie Moore with four on eight plate appearances, three RBIs and a home run. Moore's three-run blast in the second game moves the senior ahead of Reddie legend Jeaniel Pati in career homers (25) and now ranks fifth in all-time home runs at HSU.
Kaitlyn O'Quinn is closing in on becoming the second-best base stealer at Henderson after starting the season 13-13 in stolen bags and now has 55 career stolen bags. The Coppell, Texas native is seven away from tying Amy Halter (63) who is second all-time in stolen bases. O'Quinn is batting .333 through 20 games and had two hits on eight at-bats against ATU.

Savannah Carrigan has provided when called upon in the last three games, giving up four hits and zero runs while striking out ten batters across the three contests. The Little Rock, Ark. native came in for relief in the 3-2 win over ATU and gave the team 4.2 scoreless innings to close out the game.
SCOUTING ARKANSAS BAPTIST
In the most recent outing, Arkansas Baptist fell to Texas College in a doubleheader, losing both games 9-1. The Buffaloes enter the midweek contests against Henderson with a 2-12 record. ABC's two wins came in a doubleheader versus Langston, beginning with a 16-9 win followed by a 10-2 victory.
Arkansas Baptist's Analysa Buli was 6-7 at the plate against the Lady Lions with five RBIs and one extra-base hit. In the circle, Ashli Gutier threw a complete game in the second contest and gave up two runs on six hits, and tallied one strikeout and zero walks.
