DAY ONE PLAYER LEADERBOARD
HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - No. 20 Henderson State is in second place after the first round at the GAC Championship at the Par 72 Hot Springs Country Club. The Reddies finished their first 18 holes 1-under 287, led by
Ethan Wilkins, who shot 2-under 70.
HSU trails first-place Harding by seven strokes as the Bison lead the nine-team field with a score of 8-under 280. Following the Reddies in third place is Southern Arkansas, who ended the day 6-over 294.
Wilkins recorded four birdies on his way to posting the lowest score on the team through day one and is 3rd on the player leaderboard.
Miller Harris followed Wilkins's score, shooting 1-under 71 with four birdies to end the day tied for 4th place.
Alex Hadden carded an even-par score in the opening round and is tied for 6th place on the player leaderboard. The one-bag birded on the final hole of the day to give Henderson a below-par score.
Freshman Cooper Williams shot 2-over 74 across the first 18 holes, and rounding out the team Nathan Cossement finished tied for 22nd place with a 3-over 75.
No. 20 Henderson State will look to climb tomorrow when it tees off for the second round at the Par 72 Hot Springs Country Club.
