ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – The No. 22 Henderson State men's golf team makes its third consecutive trip to the NCAA Central/Midwest Regionals on May 11-13. This year's tournament is in Winona, Minn. at the Par 71 Bridges Golf Course.
There will be 20 teams competing in the Central/Midwest Regional, and the top six teams after three rounds will advance to the NCAA National Championship. HSU is one of three nationally ranked teams playing, with the other two being No. 7 Grand Valley State and No. 21 Missouri-St. Louis.
REDDIES REPORT
HSU won seven of the 11 events they competed in across 2022-23, including a first-place finish in the GAC Tournament to win back-to-back conference titles and claim the number-one spot in the Central Region. The Reddies only finished outside the top five once this season.
Henderson is seeking its first appearance at the NCAA National Championship, as they have made nine regionals in the last ten years. The men's golf team's best placement in a regional tournament was a sixth-place finish in 2021 – the top four teams advanced that year.
Leading the HSU lineup is
Miller Harris, who has a stroke average of 72.35 in 31 rounds of play. The Carthage, Texas native recently logged his best outing of the season at the GAC Championships, carding a 7-under 209 on his way to a first-place finish. First-year player
Ethan Wilkins follows Harris in the lineup, who played in the final five tournaments, finishing with a 73.14 stroke average and three top-ten placements.
Alex Hadden had a strong end to the season with back-to-back top-ten placements, including a first-place finish at the Natural State Classic. The sophomore from Eminence, Kentucky has a stroke average of 73.71 across 31 rounds and has shot par or better in 11 of those. Freshman
Cooper Williams competed in seven events in his first season with a stroke average of 77.21.

Brady Perkins, who has played in six outings for HSU, making three appearances in the Reddies lineup and three as an individual. The junior from Southlake, Texas recorded his best rounds at the Houston Classic with a final score of 7-over 223 and placed in the top 25 on the player leaderboard.
