DAY ONE PLAYER LEADERBOARD
WINONA, Minn. – After one round of play at the NCAA Central/Midwest Regional, No. 22 Henderson State is tied for fourth with a score of 5-over 289 at the Par 71 6778-yard Bridges Golf Course.
Leading the 20-team field is No. 7 Grand Valley State, who carded an 8-under 276 team score. Filling out the rest of the top six is Findlay (+3), Ashland (+3), Davenport (+5) and Central Missouri (+5).
Alex Hadden paced HSU on the first day with the only score under par, carding a 1-under 70. The Eminence, Kentucky native went bogey-free through the first 15 holes before recording his only bogey on hole 16. Hadden is tied for seventh through one round.
Ethan Wilkins had the second-best score of the round, shooting 1-over 72 with three birdies, and is tied for 21st, followed by
Cooper Williams, who is tied for 29th with a 2-over 74 score. Williams tied for the most birdies on the team, recording four across the day.
Brady Perkins had a slow start on the first four holes but responded with four birdies on the next 13 to end the day 3-over 74 and is tied for 39th on the player leaderboard. Rounding out the lineup,
Miller Harris is tied for 76th with a score of 6-over 77.
Henderson State will look to climb the leaderboard in round two tomorrow at the Par 71 Bridges Golf Course. The top six teams after three rounds will advance to the NCAA National Championship.
