FINAL PLAYER LEADERBOARD
DENTON, Texas - After coming into the day in tenth, the No. 6 Henderson State women's golf team finished its first event of the 2023 fall season in ninth place with a 54-hole score of 31-over 895 after shooting a 16-over 304 on the final day.
No. 5 Findlay, at 1-under 863, won the event in a playoff hole over No. 1 Dallas Baptist. Unranked Barry University and Midwestern State finished third and fifth, respectively, while No. 8 Indianapolis placed fourth to fill out the Top-5.
Allie Bianchi saw the best final round of any HSU golfer with a 1-over 73 as she finished tied for 24th with a 5-over 221. After carding a 4-over 76 on the first round, the Lovejoy High School product played the remaining 36 holes at 1-over 145. Bianchi's final round featured 13 pars, three bogeys and two birdies, including birdying her final hole of the weekend.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk shot 4-over 76 on day three to see a tie for 37th at 8-over 224 while
Felisa Sajulga, in her first event as a Reddie, placed in a tie for 43rd with a final tally of 9-over 225.
Daphney Tilton (T53) and
Emmie Eriksson (T67) saw scores of 13-over 229 and 20-over 236, respectively, as Eriksson improved her standing by six spots thanks to a final round 5-over 77.
No. 6 HSU will return to Arkadelphia briefly before heading to Bartlesville, Oklahoma for the Central Region Preview hosted by Rogers State Sept. 25-26.
