WBB GAME NOTES AT EAST CENTRAL - DECEMBER 7, 2024
ADA, Okla.  -  Henderson State looks to close out the opening weekend of Great American Conference play on a winning note at East Central. Tip-off at the Kerr Activities Center is slated for 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 7.
REDDIES NOTES
Henderson State looks to break even on this weekend's trip to Oklahoma with a win at East Central. The Reddies will aim to rebound from a 59-46 loss at Southeastern Oklahoma State on Thursday. HSU has won six straight meetings with the Tigers.
Marlee Raby led the team with 12 points at Southeastern Oklahoma State. Since joining the starting lineup, she is averaging 9.3 points per game.
Makenna Winans posted a season-high 13 rebounds in Thursday night's game. She is leading the Reddies and is fourth in the conference with 7.6 boards per game.
Jadah Pickens (15.7 points per game) and 
Brynlee Huggins (13.1 points per game) remain two of the GAC's top 10 scorers. Huggins is second on the league leaderboard with 17 three-pointers made.
Sam Basson and 
Natalie Cardenas both posted 10 points apiece in the conference opener.
SCOUTING EAST CENTRAL
East Central is on the hunt for its first win over the Reddies since March 2, 2019: a 67-65 victory at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia. The Tigers opened up Great American Conference play with a 62-48 win against Ouachita Baptist.
Katie Edelen leads ECU and is sixth in the conference with 15.8 points per game.
Claira Dannefer tops the Tigers' rebounding leadberboards with 6.6 board per game.
Eva Fernandez paces the team at four assists per game - a total that is also tied for fourth in the GAC. The junior from Gijon, Spain posted a team-high 15 points and shot 60 percent from the field in Thursday night's win over OBU.
Makenzy Herman made four of her five field goal attempts and both of her tries from three-point range to finish the conference opener with 13 points.
