ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Henderson State split its matches on day two of the 2024 spring season, falling to Dallas Baptist, 4-0, before posting its second shutout of the young season against Christian Brothers, 5-0.

MATCH 1: Dallas Baptist 4, Henderson State 0
With both matches being played until clinch, the Reddies fell in the doubles point to Dallas Baptist before Mulan Kamoe and Kristina Kozlova came within one game of defeating Dallas Baptist's nationally ninth-ranked top doubles team, 6-5.

With the Patriots getting wins at singles Nos. 1-3, thus taking the match 4-0, HSU's Jenna Kate Bohnert, Marianna Murcia and Haarini Balakrishnan were each up in their respective matches before the overall match was called.

MATCH 2: Henderson State 5, Christian Brothers 0
The second match of HSU's day started with singles as Nos. 1-5 all claimed straight-set victories for a 5-0 win. The victory marked Henderson's second shutout win of the 2024 campaign.

No. 28 Mulan Kamoe started off the winning by defeating Christian Brother's Sofia Zemtsova at the No. 1 spot, 6-2, 6-3. Kozlova and Angela Georgieva followed up Kamoe's performance with equal 6-4, 6-3 wins.

With one point away from winning the match, Bohnert claimed the victory with a second-set marathon 10-8 tiebreaker, improving the Reddies to 2-1 on the season.

Henderson State will remain in state while hitting the road to Hendrix University for its next match Friday, Feb. 16 at 3 p.m.
