CONWAY, Ark. - Henderson State women's tennis posted its third shutout of the young season Friday as it defeated Hendrix on the road, 9-0.
With all nine matches counting as individual points, the Reddies claimed all nine matches, beginning with
Angela Georgieva and
Jenna Kate Bohnert at the No. 3 doubles line with the 8-0 win.
Mulan Kamoe and
Kristina Kozlova echoed Georgieva and and Bohnert's dominance, taking the top doubles match, 8-0.
Haarini Balakrishnan and
Marianna Murcia completed the doubles sweep, 8-7 (7-2).
Georgieva and Bohnert each played up in singles at the No. 2 and 3 line, respectively, with Kozlova and Murcia's absence in singles. The doubles duo got their respective wins at the new spots in straight sets.
Tirzah Bailey and
Lily Winter, making their 2024 spring singles debuts, also claimed straight-set wins to complete the 9-0 sweep.
Henderson St. (3-1) will have one day off before hosting No. 21 Mississippi College at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center Sunday, Feb. 18 at 10 a.m.
