MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - After coming into the day tied for fifth, No. 12 Henderson State climbed one spot to finish fourth at the Buccaneer Invitational after posting the second-best final round of anyone in the field at 13-over 297. The Reddies finished the two-day event with a 54-hole score of 29-over 881.
WGCA No. 13 Barry took the top spot with a 13-over 865, followed by No. 2 Nova Southeastern at 25-over 877 and No. 9 Lynn at 26-over 878.
Allie Bianch saw the second most vertical movement on the individual leaderboard on the final round, climbing five spots for a tie at third with a final card of 2-over 215 after shooting even-par 71 across the final 18 holes of the invitational.
Bianchi's final round featured 14 pars, two birdies and only two bogeys. Tuesday marked Bianchi's second consecutive third-place tournament finish and her third Top-5 placement this semester.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk claimed a Top-10 finish as she finished in a tie for seventh final score of 5-over 218, followed by
Felisa Sajulga at 13th with a 7-over 220.
Daphney Tilton delivered the biggest vertical rise of any Reddie on the final day, shooting up six spots after a final-round, 3-over 74 to place in a tie for 42nd with a three-round score of 18-over 231.
Emmie Eriksson came in 51st after shooting a 24-over 237 to round out the Reddies.
No. 12 Henderson State will partake in one final tournament this regular season before the GAC Championships when HSU heads to Springfield, Mo. for the Arkansas Tech Women's Spring Regional Apr. 8-9.
