DAY ONE PLAYER LEADERBOARD
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - After 18 holes of the 2024 GAC Championships, No. 13 Henderson State is leading the eight-team field by nine strokes with a first-round 6-over 294.
Four of the Reddies' five golfers are currently in the Top-10, led by the league's Player of the Year
Allie Bianchi in second with a 1-under 71. After sitting at 2-over through 13 holes, Bianchi played her final five holes 3-under.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk carded the most birdies of any HSU golfer as she sits one shot behind Bianchi at even-par 72 for third. The Reddies' second 2024 unanimous First Team All-GAC selection closed out her opening round with a birdie tto stay par with the course.
Daphney Tilton was third Reddie on the individual leaderboard with a tied-for-sixth finish after round one with a 3-over 75.
Lily Nelson completed the red-and-gray's presence inside the Top-10 with a 4-over 76 for a spot at eighth.
Felisa Sajulga rounded out Henderson's golfers for the opening round of the 2024 GAC Championships with a 6-over 78. After shooting 4-over 40 on the front nine, Sajulga fought back with a 2-over 38 on the back nine to sit in a tie for 13th.
No. 13 Henderson State will return to the Par 72, 6005-yard Forest Ridge for round two with Sajulga getting the five-some started with a 9:20 a.m. tee time. Nelson, Tilton, Boonbumroongsuk and Bianchi will follow in eight-minute increments.
