RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Following the completion of the 2023-24 regular season, Henderson State's Mulan Kamoe was named the Great American Conference Player of the Week in the final installment of the weekly award this season, the league announced Monday.

This is the second time this season Kamoe has been named the conference's Player of the Week, with her first honor coming back on Feb. 14.

The reigning GAC Player of the Year finished off her final regular season in Arkadelphia by leading her team to a 2-0 week, including a 4-3 victory over No. 39 Southeastern Oklahoma State, which was the Savage Storm's first conference loss of the season.

Against SE, Kamoe defeated Southeastern's Vanessa Nitu at the No. 1 line in straight sets, 7-5, 7-5. The win moves the senior to 5-0 in GAC singles matches this season, all of which have come in straight sets.

The Nasoso Nadi, Fiji, native has not lost a conference singles match in over a year, with her last loss coming Apr. 4, 2023.

In addition to her dominance at singles within league play, Kamoe finished off the GAC season 4-1 in doubles with teammate Kristina Kozlova with the 6-2 win over the Savage Storm's top duo. In the last two season, Kamoe and Kozlova have lost just one GAC doubles match.

In the regular season finale in a non-conference match against Fort Hays State, Kamoe went 2-0, losing just two games all day. After blanking FHSU's top tandem, 6-0, Kamoe delivered a quick 6-1, 6-1 victory.

For the season, the 2023 All-GAC First Team recipient is 15-6 in singles and 12-6 in doubles, both of which have all come at the No. 1 spot.

Kameo and Henderson State will look to bring the momentum gained at the close of the regular season into the postseason when the No. 3 seed Reddies host No. 6 Ouachita Baptist in Battle of the Ravine-edition first round of the GAC Championships in Bentonville, Ark., Thursday, Apr. 25.
