SPRINGFIELD, Mo. - After 36 holes at the Spring Preview hosted by Arkansas Tech, No. 13 Henderson State holds an 11-stroke lead on the competition with a two-round score of 15-over 591.
In-Region foe Central Missouri is in second at 26-over 602 while fellow GAC member Southwestern Oklahoma State is in third a 28-over 604. Arkansas Tech (+30) and Missouri Southern State (+37) round out the top five after day one.
Jinna Boonbumroongsuk leads the 95-player field after carding a 1-under 143 through the pair of rounds. Boonbumroongsuk shot a 2-under 70 in the opening 18 holes before closing her day with a 1-over 73.
In the first round, the Bangkok, Thailand, native recorded four birdies and an eagle on the Par 5, 464-yard fifth hole. Boonbumroongsuk is the only player in the field currently sitting below par.
Daphney Tilton, after shooting a 6-over 78 in the first round, shot up the individual leaderboard with a field-best and season-best 3-under 69 in the second round to sit in a tie for fourth with 18 holes remaining.
Lily Nelson, in just her second tournament appearance of the 2023-24 season, is tied for eighth at 5-over 149. In the first round, which served as Nelson's second competitive round of collegiate golf since last May, Nelson carded three birdies as part of her 1-over 73 round.
Felisa Sajulga is tied for 15th at 8-over 152 while
Allie Bianchi sits at 45th with rounds of 10-over 82 and 4-over 76.
No. 13 Henderson State will begin the final round with Bianchi teeing off at 10:20 a.m. CT, followed by Sajulga, Nelson, Tilton and Boonbumroongsuk in seven-minute increments.
