Reddies Set to Face Savage Storm on Saturday

WBB GAME NOTES VS. SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE: FEBRUARY 1, 2025

ARKADELPHIA, Ark.  -  Henderson State looks to win its third game in a row as it faces Southeastern Oklahoma State at the Duke Wells Center on Saturday, February 1. Tip-off is slated for 1 p.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson State enters Saturday's contest on the heels of back-to-back wins. The team scored 74 points versus East Central on Thursday - the most that any GAC squad has put up against the Tigers this season. The Reddies are 6-1 in conference games where they have scored 70 points or more.

Natalie Cardenas scored 29 points in Thursday night's win: her most since a career-best 32-point effort versus Harding on December 14. She tied a season high with four made threes against ECU.

Sam Basson scored a lucky 13 points while tallying three assists in the Reddies' latest outing. The sophomore from Allen, Texas, has posted three or more assists in seven of her last nine games.

With 13 points scored on Thursday, Brynlee Huggins has reached double figures in 16 of HSU's 19 games in 2024-25. The junior guard leads the conference with 54 made threes this season - nine more than any other GAC player.

HSU's 67.5 points per game average since the start of Great American Conference play is tied for third in the league. The team's 36.4 percent shooting from three-point range in that span paces the conference.

SCOUTING SOUTHEASTERN OKLAHOMA STATE
Southeastern Oklahoma State visits the Duke Wells Center after winning seven of its last eight games. The Savage Storm will be looking for its first win at Henderson State since 2017 and its first season sweep of the Reddies in a decade.

Caitlin Cobiske led Southeastern with 23 points and 10 boards in a double-double effort at Ouachita Baptist: a major factor in Southeastern's 60-47 victory. Kobiske is the league's second-best scorer at 17.4 points per game (trailing Harding's Sage Hawley by 0.4 points per game). She is also tied for ninth in the league with 5.8 rebounds per game.

Kenzli Warden nearly had a double-double in her own right with 10 points and nine rebounds on Thursday. She has posted double-digit scoring totals in three straight games and six of her last seven outings.
