Reddies Finish Eighth at Grace Shin Invite

EDMOND, Okla. – Henderson State women's golf finished in the top ten for the second time in the 2025 fall season with an eighth-place finish at the Grace Shin Invite, held at The Golf Club of Edmond Monday and Tuesday. The Reddies finished with a team score of 602, 34 strokes over par and 22 strokes behind first-place Central Missouri.

HSU had two individual top-ten finishes with the senior duo of Paulina Narvaez and Lily Nelson. Narvaez was a steady hand, carding two rounds of one-over-par 72. The Guanojuato, Mexico native made five birdies over the 36-hole event and finished in seventh place. Nelson bounced back from an opening-round 75 to shoot a one-under 70 on Tuesday, finishing in eighth place, just one spot behind Narvaez. Her highlight came in Monday's first round, where she eagled the par-five sixth hole.

Lora Jones carded rounds of 78 and 77. The true freshman made her only birdie of the tournament on the par-four 11th hole in Tuesday's second round.

Isabella Ferreira turned in scores of 78 and 80 across the two-day event. The graduate student from Plano, Texas also found just one birdie on her opening hole of Tuesday's round.

Ayers Finley rounded out the scoring for the Reddies with rounds of 85 and 93.

The Reddies return to action on Sunday, October 12th and 13th. They will host the Battle for the Belt at Hot Springs Country Club.
