Edwards Earns Third GAC Honor of 2025 Season

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – Reddie senior quarterback Andrew Edwards was named GAC Co-Offensive Player of the Week on Monday. The award is Edwards's 12th career honor and third of the 2025 season. This year, he is the only GAC athlete to have earned player of the week honors more than two times.

Edwards had one of his most efficient games of the season in Saturday's 45-35 win over East Central. The Bentonville, Arkansas product was 19-of-23 passing for 237 yards and two touchdowns. He also compiled 14 rushes for 54 yards and two touchdowns; the four total touchdowns were the most by any offensive player in the conference on Saturday.

With the accolade, Edwards moves into a tie for second place all-time with his 12th player of the week nod. He now only trails HSU's Kevin Rodgers, who accumulated 14 total honors in his playing career.

Heading into the final game of the season, Edwards continues to lead the GAC in passing yards, passing touchdowns, and completions, is second in completion percentage, and ranks 17th in the conference in rushing yards; his six rushing touchdowns also lead all GAC signal-callers.

Edwards and the Reddies will play their final game of the 2025 season Saturday in the 98th Battle of the Ravine at Ouachita Baptist. More information about the game can be found here.
