ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies are set to face the Golden Suns of Arkansas Tech for the last home contest of the year.

Henderson State is coming off another 2-0 week, where they bested Southeastern Oklahoma State 91-58 and then defeated East Central 73-66.

The Reddie offense is led by Natalie Cardenas, who is averaging 19.5 points per game, which ranks second in the GAC. Brynlee Huggins, after a 36-point performance this last week, ranks second on the team and fifth in the GAC in points per game (15.7). The main distributor for the Reddie offense is Sam Basson, who is averaging a team-leading 3.2 assists per game, good for sixth in the GAC.

Henderson State is the best rebounding team in the GAC, as they average 42.3 rebounds per game, while holding opponents to only 33.2 rebounds per game, good for fourth-lowest in the conference. Grayson Fairless Leads both the GAC and the Reddies in rebounds per game (13.7), while ranking first in offensive rebounds (42) and fifth in defensive rebounds (40).

The Reddies take care of the ball well as they rank last in the GAC in turnovers, only committing 78 so far this season. They have forced 85 turnovers by their opponents, and are averaging 17.0 points off of those turnovers, while opponents are only averaging 12.7 points.

Scouting Arkansas Tech

The Golden Suns went 1-1 last week during a homestand. They lost to #22 Northwestern Oklahoma State 72-66, and then defeated Southwestern Oklahoma State 71-63.

Arkansas Tech's offense is led by Logan Young, who is averaging 12.5 points per game, shooting 51.9 percent from the field. Dessie Lancaster ranks second on the team, averaging 10.7 points per game. The Golden Suns struggle with three-pointers, as they rank fourth to last in the GAC in three-point percentage (31.5). 

This Golden Suns team rebounds well on offense, as they are tied for third in the GAC in offensive rebounds per game (13.3), with Lancaster leading the way with 45 rebounds on the season, averaging 7.5 rebounds per game.

This Arkansas Tech team is opportunistic, as they have forced the second-most turnovers in the GAC (152) while only committing the fourth-fewest turnovers (91). They are averaging 29.7 points off of turnovers this season.

The Reddies lost the last time they hosted the Golden Suns, falling 71-66. When playing at home in the Duke Wells Center since the 2011-12 season, HSU is 8-7 against Arkansas Tech, and is 41-75 all-time.
