Natalie Cardenas was named the GAC Player of the Week on Monday, based on the games against Arkansas Tech and #12 ranked Harding. Cardenas is the first Women's Basketball Reddie to earn the Player of the Week honor this season.
The Mesquite, Texas native scored 25 points on 8 for 18 shooting, while also adding three rebounds and an assist in Thursday's loss to Arkansas Tech. She followed that up with a 22 point, seven rebound performance in an upset win over the #12 ranked Harding Bisons. Cardenas led the Reddies on Saturday, shooting 8 for 10 from the free-throw line, and 8 for 15 from the field. She is the team leader in points per game (20.4), which ranks second in the GAC.
The Reddies finish the 2025 year on Thursday December 18th, where they face Southern Arkansas in Magnolia. Tip off from the WT Watson Athletic Center is scheduled for 5:30 PM.
