CONWAY, Ark. – Henderson State dominates in Conway with wins over Hendrix and Ozarks.
The Reddies dominated in their first match of the day, sweeping Hendrix 7-0 and dropping just two games in 15 total sets.
Kristina Kozlova,
Angela Georgieva,
Jenna Kate Bohnert, and
Adiya Abdugappar did not lose a game in their singles match up or doubles.
Kozlova defeated Caroline Lasley 6-0, 6-0 in singles and with the help Bohnert defeated Lasley and Emma Self 6-0 in doubles. Bohnert bested Josie Leffingwell 6-0, 6-0.
Georgieva picked up her first win of the season over Self 6-0, 6-0. Georgieva played doubles with
Lily Winter besting Taylor Harbin and Ayden Huckelbury 6-0. Winter won her first match up her Reddie career over Harbin 6-1, 6-0.
Abdugappar and
Angela Dorado Marin won their first match of their career 6-0 over Leffingwell and Kate Adxoc. Abdugappar won her singles match 6-0, 6-0 Huckelbury and Dorado Marin won her singles match 6-1, 6-0 over Adxoc.
In the second match of the day Henderson State continued the success they had against Hendrix. The Reddies defeated Ozarks 7-0, dropping just three games across 15 sets.
Henderson swept the doubles portion of the match while not dropping a game.
Kozlova and Bohnert defeated Annie Nelligan and Jessica Gayle 6-0. Kozlova defeated Nelligan 6-0, 6-0. Abdugappar and Dorado Marin completed their second doubles match over Kelsey Smith and Emily Saniseng 6-0. Winter and Georgieva finished their set first over Gabriella Davis and Lauren Adams, winning 6-0.
Lainey Mungle picked up her first win stepping up in singles, defeating Jayden Vazquez 6-0, 6-0. Georgieva defeated Saniseng 6-0, 6-0, Abdugappar defeated Smith 6-1, 6-1, Dorado Marin defeated Davis 6-6, 6-0, and
Elizaveta Kisel picked up her first win 6-1, 6-0.
The Reddies return to Arkadelphia to face Mississippi College at 10 a.m.
