FORT SMITH, Ark. – Henderson State impresses with 7-0 win over Lions in first true road test of the 2025 season.
The Reddies defeated the Lions 7-0 on the road in Fort Smith following a week long break due to weather.
Kristina Kozlova continued her dominance to begin the 2025 campaign. Kozlova won her singles match 6-2, 6-1 versus Arianna De Bernado and dominated doubles with a 6-3 victory alongside
Jenna Kate Bohnert versus Taylor Conway and De Bernado. Bohnert won her singles match versus Sofia Tominaga 6-1, 6-2.
In doubles
Adiya Abdugappar and
Angela Dorado Marin won a close match 7-5 against Isabella Serrano and Antonietta Bocache. Abdugappar finished her match swiftly, marking a 6-1, 6-2 victory versus Serrano. Dorado Marin won a close first set 6-4 but made a statement in the second set winning 6-1.
Angela Georgieva won her first set 6-4 but came back in the second set to win convincingly 6-2. Georgieva teamed with
Lily Winter in doubles, defeating Tominaga and Gracie Pereff 6-4.
Elizaveta Kisel rounded out the singles for the Reddies, winning 6-1, 6-3 versus Pereff.
The Reddies improved 3-2 with the win over the Lions with a match up versus Central Oklahoma set for 11 a.m. here in Arkadelphia on Sunday.
