ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Henderson State following a 7-0 victory in Fort Smith falls to Central Oklahoma at home.
Coming into the Sunday meeting the Reddies were coming off winning three of the last four matches they played in. Central Oklahoma rolled into Arkadelphia with a strong 3-1 resume, their only loss being #16 Angelo State 3-4.
The Reddies earned their first win in doubles with a 6-3 victory in double #2.
Adiya Abdugappar and
Angela Dorado Marin defeated Ayaka Koga and Anika Ouwejan 6-3.
Kristina Kozlova won her singles match versus Nefeli Zafeiri 6-2, 5-7, and won the match tie-break 12-10. Kozlova was the final match to finish for the Reddies.
Jenna Kate Bohnert won her singles match convincingly in the first set, defeating Ouwejan 6-2 in the first set and narrowly won in the second set, 7-5.
The Reddies are back in action on Friday in Tahlequah, Okla. versus Northeastern at 11 a.m.
