WBB GAME NOTES AT SOUTHWESTERN OKLAHOMA STATE: FEBRUARY 8, 2025

WEATHERFORD, Okla.  -  Henderson State is heading to Southwestern Oklahoma State for its final Oklahoma road test of the regular season. Tip-off at the Pioneer Event Center is set for 11 a.m.

REDDIES REPORT
Henderson State looks to get back to winning ways in Weatherford after suffering its first loss of the second half of the GAC season. The Reddies have won back-to-back meetings with the Bulldogs in Weatherford, including a 78-71 victory at the Pioneer Event Center on January 11, 2024.

Natalie Cardenas tallied 13 points against Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday. The sophomore from Mesquite, Texas, has the team's longest active double-digit scoring streak at four games.

Klowie Pike led HSU and set a new personal season high with four assists in the loss to the Rangers.

With 57 made threes in 2024-25, Brynlee Huggins continues to pace the Great American Conference. She is also one of five GAC players averaging 15 or more points per game this season (15.2).

The Reddies remain one of only two teams in the GAC with two players averaging six or more rebounds per game this season. Makenna Winans has 7.1 boards per game, while Bobbi Bazzle follows close behind at 6.5.

HSU's 35.2 percent three-point shooting since the start of conference play is ranked second in the league (trailing East Central by 0.5 percent).

SCOUTING SWOSU
Southwestern Oklahoma State will aim to sweep its season series with Henderson State for the first time since 2021-22 when the two teams meet on Saturday. The Bulldogs are 6-3 versus Arkansas-based GAC teams this season.

Hailey Grant led the team with 19 points on six-of-eight shooting (three-of-four from three) against Ouachita Baptist.  The senior from Claremore, Oklahoma, is the Bulldogs' top rebounder with 4.3 boards per game.

Averi Zinn had four assists in Thursday night's win. Her average of 2.9 assists per game is one of the top 10 in the conference.

Shooting 76 percent as a team, SWOSU is one of the league's top five teams at the free-throw line since the start of the conference slate.
