ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – On a windy day in Arkadelphia the Reddies emerge victorious with a 7-0 sweep of the Golden Suns.
Henderson State (5-5, 0-0 GAC) met Arkansas Tech (3-6, 0-0 GAC) in a nonconference battle, preparing for conference play which is set to begin April 1. The Reddies showed up in full force winning two of three in doubles and winning all six singles matchups.

Jenna Kate Bohnert made quick work in #1 doubles versus Monica Balau and Melanie Griffiths, winning 6-3.

Adiya Abdugappar and
Angela Dorado Marin soundly defeated Elis Gergel and Natalya Montoya, winning 6-4. The Kozlova and Kate Bohnert doubles team improved to 6-3 this season.
Henderson State showed up in full force in singles with one of their most impressive showings of the season. All six singles players found their way to victory, and
Angela Georgieva nearly picked up the double 6-0 victory versus Montoya, winning 6-0, 6-1.
Kozlova defeated Balau with a pair of 6-4 set victories to improve to 6-2 and her doubles partner Kate Bohnert battled out a 6-3 loss in the first set, winning in the second and third set 6-4, 6-0 versus Gergel. Kate Bohnert added on to her team-best 7-1 record with the victory.
Abdugappar and Dorado Marin each found ways to win. Abdugappar won soundly, 6-2, 6-4 versus Maria Krite. Dorado Marin battled in a close first set, winning 7-6 (4) and 6-3 in the second set versus Meaghan Butler.
Elizaveta Kisel stepped into #6 singles after not playing doubles and won in three sets versus Nabilah Dunn. Kisel dropped the first set 6-4 but battled back to win 6-3, 6-4 in the final two sets. Kisel improves to 3-2 in singles this season.
Henderson State faces Arkansas Tech on April 15 in Russellville, Ark. but will turnaround quickly to face #22 UT-Tyler this Friday at 9 a.m. in Arkadelphia, Ark.
