ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – A full team effort led by
Kristina Kozlova and
Jenna Kate Bohnert led the Reddies past the Tigers, 5-2.
#54 Kozlova and the Reddies earned one of their biggest wins of the season on Wednesday defeating the Tigers 5-2. Kozlova picked up a massive win in singles versus #44 Sadbaroy Kholdarova 6-3, 7-6 (4) in a match that ended the day for the Reddies with a win.
Kozlova and doubles partner #75 Kate Bohnert together defeated Kholdarova and Natalia Zamora Caprirolo 6-4. Kate Bohnert soundly defeated Zamoro Caprirolo 6-3, 6-0 to improve to 9-2 overall this season.
Adiya Abdugappar and
Angela Dorado Marin combined to defeat Karli Gay and Alice Kubler 6-3. Abdugappar won her singles match with ease 6-1, 6-4 versus Ali May and Dorado Marin did so too with a 6-1, 6-3 win versus Anastasia Myachin. Abudgappar and Dorado Marin improved to 8-4 this season in doubles.
In doubles three
Angela Georgieva and
Lily Winter inched closer to a .500 record together. Georgieva and Winter soundly defeated Jenny Pfaefflin and Marlee Bledsoe 6-2. Georgieva nearly won her singles match versus Kubler, falling late 3-6, 6-2, 9-11. Winter did not participate in singles.
The Reddies will travel to Cleveland, Mississippi for a match versus Delta State next Wednesday before conference play begins March 31.
