ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Henderson State swept its dual match versus Collin College by a score of 4-0 at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center on Friday.
The Reddies picked up a pair of doubles wins before locking up the team victory in singles competition.
Kristina Kozlova and Jenna Kate Bohnert won their Position 1 doubles match in a 6-4 result against Collin's Camila Luzardo and Marie-Alix Urcun. Adiya Abdugappar and Angela Dorado Marin then won a Position 2 doubles showdown 6-3 versus Alyssa Glasgow and Marqaylar Tere.
In singles play, Bohnert secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Jinsol Yang. Dorado Marin took care of business against Glasgow, winning 6-1, 6-1. Elizaveta Kisel had the Reddies' final singles triumph of the day, defeating Lilly Wall 6-1, 6-4. The overall dual match was called as a Reddie victory before any other matches were finished.
Following Friday's win, HSU will prepare to host a dual match with No. 13 Angelo State at the Bettye Wallace Tennis Center on Sunday, Mar. 9. The Reddies matchup with the Rams will start at 10 a.m.Â
