ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Following a series sweep versus Arkansas Tech and the series finale versus Ouachita Baptist the Reddies host their final home GAC series versus the Rangers.

REDDIE REPORT
Henderson State returns to Dee White Field following a busy week that saw the Reddies win four of their four games including a sweep of the Golden Suns and a Battle of the Ravine win across the street.

The Reddies have gained momentum since facing #23 Southern Arkansas on the road. Since dropping the series on the road, the Reddies are 5-1 including an impressive 4-0 in conference play. HSU's five game winning streak is the second longest of the season.

In the second game of the series versus Arkansas Tech Akers hit a game-tying three-run home run with two outs in the bottom of the seventh inning to keep the Reddies alive. In extras, Akers delivered a walk-off single to lift HSU to a 4-3 win that clinched the series.

The Reddies have four batters batting .330 or better, Josie Copeland is now batting .348 with four doubles and 19 RBIs. Against Ouachita Baptist Copeland went 1-4 with an RBI and a run.

Makenna Keeton had another standout week in the circle, pitching nine innings across three games while not allowing a run. Keeton's best performance came against the Golden Suns in game one of the series, pitching six innings and allowing just one hit in a 8-0 victory for the Reddies.

The Northwestern series marks the final conference homestand for the Reddies and the celebration of several seniors on the team. The Reddies will have 10 seniors recognized: Makenna Denofrio, Janasia Jones, Brooke Johnson, Addison Tidwell, Makenna Keeton, Meagan Allen, Jordyn Holland, Erika Bittinger, Justine Burch, and Raylee Carey.

The seniors will be recognized before the 1 p.m. Saturday game.
