ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies will continue their road trip in Durant, Oklahoma, where they'll face the Savage Storm of Southeastern Oklahoma State. Tip off is scheduled for 1:00 PM on January 31st in the Bloomer Sullivan Arena.

Reddie Report
Henderson State started their road trip with a lost at East Central, falling to the Tigers 65-73.

This Reddie offense has quietly become one of the best in the GAC, as it ranks second in points per game (73.8), while shooting 40.9 percent from the field, the fourth-best in the conference. Natalie Cardenas is the lead scorer for Henderson State, ranking third in the GAC with a 19.0 points per game mark.

Henderson State leads the GAC in three-point percentage (34.5), while attempting the fifth-lowest amount of threes this season (322). Brynlee Huggins leads the Reddies, and ranks sixth in the GAC with a 39.6 shooting percentage from three.

The Reddies struggled to rebound against the Tigers, dropping their average to 38.1 rebounds per game, which ranks sixth in the GAC. Grayson Fairless leads the team and the GAC in rebounds per game (11.5), the only player averaging 10 or more rebounds in the conference.

Henderson State protects the ball well, as they have given up the fewest turnovers in the GAC, surrendering the ball only 204 times, while opponents are averaging 14.5 points off of turnovers.

Scouting Southeastern Oklahoma State

The Savage Storm faced off against Ouachita Baptist on Thursday, and defeated the Tigers 73-59.

The offense of Southeastern goes through Tori Kilburn. The freshman forward from McAlester, Oklahoma is leading the Savage Storm in points, rebounds, and assists per game. Her scoring average (19.1 ppg) ranks second in the GAC, while her rebounds per game ranks ninth.

The Savage Storm ranks in the top half of the GAC in defense, holding opponents to a 38.3 shooting percentage from the field, and 30.4 percent from three. Expect them to force bad shots from deep.

Southeastern struggles with rebounding, as they rank in the bottom-half in the conference, averaging 36.4 rebounds per game. But to compliment their defense, they lead the GAC in defensive rebounds (482), preventing opponents to take second chance shots.

The Savage Storm distribute the ball efficiently, as they rank second in the GAC in total assists (252), averaging 14.0 assists per game as a team, which ranks third.

The Reddies defeated Southeastern the last time they met, winning 91-58 at home. When playing in Durant, since 2011-12, HSU is 7-6 against SE, and is 18-10 all time.
