RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. - Henderson State's
Emilia Nowak earned her first GAC Player of the Week nod of the 2026 spring season, the league announced Wednesday.
Nowak went 2-0 at the No. 2 singles and 2-0 at the No. 1 doubles with partner
Jordan Parker in the week to help lead the Reddies to their 2-0 record to start the season.
The sophomore from Poznan, Poland, started off her award-winning week with a 2-0 day against Christian Brothers. After besting the Buccaneer's top doubles team 6-1, Nowak swept CBU's Valerie Neumann 6-0, 6-0 in route to a 7-0 victory for Henderson State.
Nowak continued her dominant start against Arkansas-Fort Smith. After getting the 6-2 win at the top doubles spot, Nowak crushed her opponent Rayssa Dominguez 6-0, 6-1 to help the Reddies sweep the Lions 7-0.
Henderson State (2-0) and Nowak will look to continue the strong start when they host Angelo State on February 21st at 11:00 A.M.
