Women's Basketball Game Notes
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies (15-9, 11-9) look to keep their GAC Championships dream alive in their final road match up in Russellville against Arkansas Tech (18-6, 14-6). The Golden Suns currently sit second in the GAC, having clinched their berth to the GAC Championships already. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 P.M. in the Tucker Coliseum.

Henderson State shot well down the stretch to secure the win last Saturday 74-59 against Southern Nazarene.
The Reddie offense's shooting vastly improved in the last game, as the Reddies shot 65.2 percent from the field, including an 83.3 shooting percentage in the fourth quarter, which clinched the win for Henderson State.
Brynlee Huggins and
Jayla Lewis both shot 75.0 percent from the field.
The Reddies were not out-rebounded in this match up, as they tied Southern Nazarene with 24 rebounds each, but dominated at the defensive side of the ball. Henderson State secured 20 defensive rebounds to SNU's 11, preventing second chances on shots made.
Defensively, the Reddies were much stronger, holding the Crimson Storm to only 59 points, the lowest since the win against Ouachita. The defense held SNU to only 40.0 percent shooting from the field, and 33.3 percent from three.
Turnovers were an issue for the Reddies, as they gave up the ball 22 times, with SNU recording 13 steals on the night. Arkansas Tech has forced the most turnovers in the GAC this season.
Scouting Arkansas Tech
Arkansas Tech is coming off a loss in Ada to East Central, 62-60.
The Golden Suns, normally the highest scoring offense in the GAC, had been stymied the last two games, averaging about 58.0 points. Against East Central, Tech shot 32.8 percent from the field.
Arkansas Tech is a strong rebounding team, averaging 37.8 rebounds per contest. Most come from defensive rebounds, averaging 26.0 per game, but Arkansas Tech also is highly ranked at offensive rebounds, averaging 11.8 per game.
On the defensive side of the ball, Arkansas Tech is quite porous. They are currently giving up the most points per game in the GAC (70.8), and opponents are shooting 33.3 percent from three, the highest mark in the conference. Tech is better at defending the paint, with opponents averaging 41.6 percent from the field.
