2025-26 Women's Basketball Game Notes
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - The Reddies (11-6, 7-6) will welcome the Rangers of Northwestern Oklahoma State this week, for the first of a four game home stand. Tip off is scheduled for 5:30 PM on February 5th in the Duke Wells Center.

Henderson State went 0-2 for the first time this season last week, falling to East Central 65-73 and then losing to Southeastern Oklahoma State 67-91.
This Reddie offense is still one of the best in the GAC, as it ranks second in points per game (73.4), while the shooting percentage has faltered as of late, ranking seventh in the conference (40.4).
Natalie Cardenas is the lead scorer for Henderson State, ranking fourth in the GAC with a 18.5 points per game mark.
Henderson State ranks second in the GAC in three-point percentage (34.0), while attempting the fifth-lowest amount of threes this season (353).
Brynlee Huggins leads the Reddies, and ranks sixth in the GAC with a 38.9 shooting percentage from three.
Rebounds continued to be a struggle during the road trip, as the Reddies were out-rebounded 58-73. Henderson State sits ranked fifth in the GAC, averaging 37.8 rebounds per games.
Grayson Fairless leads the Reddies, averaging 11.2 rebounds per game, which still leads the GAC.
Henderson State protects the ball well, as they have given up the fewest turnovers in the GAC, surrendering the ball only 215 times. The Reddies have forced 233 turnovers, averaging 14.5 points per game off of those turnovers.
Scouting Northwestern Oklahoma State
RV Northwestern Oklahoma State Rangers (14-5, 9-4) is also coming off an 0-2 week, with losses at home to #11 ranked Harding 51-58, and then losing to RV Arkansas Tech in overtime 85-86.
The offense of Northwestern goes through Kira Bass. The senior center is leading the Rangers in points and rebounds. Her scoring average (18.8 ppg) ranks third in the GAC, while her rebounds per game (9.2) ranks second.
The Ranger defense is the best in the conference, as they hold opponents to a GAC-lowest 56.3 points per game. Northwestern holds opponents to the lowest shooting percentage in the GAC (35.8), and ranks in the top half in three-point defense, as opponents are averaging 30.3 percent from three.
Northwestern is the best rebounding team in the GAC, as they are averaging over 40 rebounds per game, while holding opponents to 27.9 rebounds. A majority of the Ranger rebounds come from offensive rebounds, where they lead the GAC averaging 14.9 per game.
The Rangers distribute the ball efficiently, as they lead the GAC in total assists (276), and assists per game (14.53).
The Reddies lost to Northwestern the last time they met, falling 47-68 in Alva. When playing in the Duke Wells Center, since 2011-12, HSU is 10-2 against Northwestern, and is 13-12 all time.
