2025-26 Women's Basketball Game Notes
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Women's Basketball continues their home stand, welcoming the Bulldogs of Southwestern Oklahoma State. The Reddies look to complete the season sweep against SWOSU, after defeating the Bulldogs in Weatherford earlier in the season. Tip off is scheduled for February 7th at 1:00 PM in the Duke Wells Center.

Henderson State fell to Northwestern Oklahoma State on Thursday, losing 59-73.
This Reddie offense is still one of the best in the GAC, as it ranks third in points per game (72.6), while the shooting percentage has faltered as of late, ranking eighth in the conference (39.9).
Natalie Cardenas is the lead scorer for Henderson State, ranking fourth in the GAC with a 18.4 points per game mark.
Henderson State ranks second in the GAC in three-point percentage (33.8), while attempting the fifth-lowest amount of threes this season (379).
Brynlee Huggins leads the Reddies, and ranks sixth in the GAC with a 38.1 shooting percentage from three.
Rebounds continues to be a struggle for the Reddies, as they were out-rebounded 33-51. Henderson State sits ranked fifth in the GAC, averaging 37.6 rebounds per games.
Grayson Fairless leads the Reddies, averaging 10.9 rebounds per game, which still leads the GAC.
Henderson State protects the ball well, as they have given up the fewest turnovers in the GAC, surrendering the ball only 227 times. The Reddies have forced 249 turnovers, averaging 14.3 points per game off of those turnovers.
Scouting Southwestern Oklahoma State
Southwestern is coming into Duke Wells after facing off against Ouachita Baptist on Thursday, falling 47-79.
The SWOSU offense struggles to generate points on a consistent basis, as they are averaging the third-lowest points per game (69.5), and are averaging the lowest field goal percentage in the GAC (37.2). Landry Allen, who is returning from injury, leads the team in points per game (15.1), which ranks eighth in the conference.
The Bulldog defense is one of the stronger in the conference, as they rank in the top-half in points per game, holding opponents to 65.4 points per game, and field goal percentage (37.9).
Southwestern is the second-best rebounding team in the GAC, as they average 38.8 rebounds per game. Where the Bulldogs excell is collecting offensive rebounds, as they are averaging 13.6 offensive rebounds per game, Elle Papahronis is leading the team, averaging 8.7 rebounds per game.
The Bulldogs struggle to protect the ball, as SWOSU has given up the most turnovers in the conference this season (315), and opponents are averaging 14.9 points off of those turnovers.
The Reddies bested Southwestern the last time they met, winning 83-65 in Weatherford. When playing in the Duke Wells Center, since 2011-12, HSU is 6-7 against SWOSU, and is 10-21 all time.
