Hilary Akers was named the GAC Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday.
The Houston, Texas native went 7-for-10 (.700) in four games for the Reddies with five runs scored, while also recording a triple. Akers recorded 10 putouts and six assists in the field, recording several key outs.
For the year, Akers is batting .404 with 38 hits, seven doubles, four triples, and 15 RBIs.
Akers and the Reddies (13-16, 6-9) will look continue their win-streak in Denton, Texas, where they will face Texas Women's in a mid-week doubleheader. The first game is scheduled to begin at 3:00 P.M. on Wednesday, March 25th.
